Anushka Chkheidze
Anushka Chkheidze is a Georgian composer and sound artist, born in Tbilisi in 1997. Her multifaceted work ranges from immersive soundscapes integrating field recordings, choir voices, and organ music to more rhythmically driven compositions. Since her debut album Halfie (2020), followed by Move 20-21, Lost Luggage, and Clean, Clear and White, she has developed a distinctive sonic language that transforms spaces into poetic, site-specific experiences.
She has performed at international festivals and exhibitions including the Darmstädter Ferienkurse, Close Encounters Festival, and the Monheim Triennale, which commissioned her to create site-specific works such as Intricate Pipes, a composition for MIDI organ and analog setups that premiered in 2025. Installations including Lost Lullaby and See Me blend local voices, environmental recordings, and instrumental textures to explore memory, place, and social interaction through immersive sound.
Anushka Chkheidze has collaborated with artists including Robert Lippok, Eto Gelashvili, Hayk Karoyi, and Lillevan Pobjoy, focusing on real-time composition and the interplay between classical and electronic elements.
