C&D – Piotr Ceglarek and Jan Dybala are an experimental duo from Katowice, Poland, working somewhere between new media arts, the concert stage, and a buzzing cable jungle. In 2014, they co-founded Biuro Dźwięku Katowice, a socially engaged platform dedicated to sound experiments, education, and the use of a homegrown multichannel sound system.
A few years later, they introduced similar practices at the local Academy of Fine Arts, building on their ongoing work there through a new collaboration with the Soundscape Foundation. Together, they helped create Tonarium: a hybrid spatial sound instrument embedded in a large 36-channel listening space.
Their live shows are rare but always site-specific and managed in real time. Besides many strictly local events, C&D appeared at Nachtdigital (2017), Unsound Festival (2015), Sanatorium of Sound (2017–2025), and Tauron Nowa Muzyka Festival (2016–2022).
The performance takes place as part of the Tonarium exhibition.
