Downtown Steppas
Inspired by the great reggae stars such as Third World, Peter Tosh, Burning Spear and Bob Marley, five musicians with a passion for reggae came together in Berlin. Since 2018, Downtown Steppas have been providing the foundation for international reggae singers as a backing band.
To date, the band has worked with many interesting artists: Julian Asher (Cape Town), Carmel Zoum (Congo/France), Angela Ordu (Nigeria) Dadda Dice (Grenada), JahRingo (Gambia), Bouba Diakite (Guinea), Vido Jelashe (Cape Town) and local artists such as Jon Moon (Berlin).
These diverse collaborations have led to numerous performances, including at YAAM, Berlin, and at various festivals and events in the city.
Through gaining extensive experience, the band is able to play varied live shows with a range of artists.
