LXC + Toni Wobble

Sooper Corner

LXC from Leipzig works sonically between Ambient and Hardcore, focusing on broken beats, dubwise soundscapes, and heavy subbass. Active since the early 1990s—from experimental 8-bit studies to noisy Drum & Bass live acts—he has released numerous records on international labels, developing a distinctive style between Jungle, Dub, and extreme bass music.

Beyond his own music, LXC runs the Leipzig-based Drum & Bass/Jungle label Alphacut Records with several sublabels. He also works as a promoter, mastering engineer, and vinyl cutter, including at RAND Muzik. International performances across Europe have cemented his place in the experimental bass underground.

Toni Wobble has been a musician for over twenty years and a studio producer for more than ten, working professionally as a sound technician for the past five years. In 2009, he became a Dubactivist with the band “Gaggeldub” during the Anti-Atom Movement, using dub music and livestreams from political actions to turn his bass into a tool against oppressive systems.

Since 2012, he has been the sound operator for the Plug Dub Soundsystem. In 2013, he began co-hosting the Dub Night HiFi radio show online and on local radio, broadcasting every second Friday on Radio Blau in collaboration with Aldubb and Mr. Glue from Planet Earth Studios in Berlin.

Toni started studio work in a Leipzig community house with the Plug Wizzards, moved in 2014 to an old Russian military barracks on the former German-German border, and returned to Leipzig in 2015 to work at GoodMoods Studio with a 32-channel analog mixing desk. Since 2018, he has been part of Knagge Sounds and Concepts Studio.
