Niki Matita
Niki Matita is a DJ, radio, sound & performance artist, curator, author, presenter and visual artist.
In the 2000s, she ran the "Zentrale Randlage", a club for experimental music and culture in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg, curated event series in the Prater and had DJ residencies at Schokoladen, Klub der Republik and Madame Claude, among others.
Since 2007, she can be heard on the radio and is involved locally and internationally in free radio and community media. In 2016, she became part of the Berlin team of the world's only garden radio art festival Datscha Radio, which was awarded the Berlin Senate's Project Space Prize in 2019. Her radio art pieces are broadcast worldwide, e.g. on Česky Rozhlas, Radiophrenia Glasgow, Soundart Radio UK, Sistersakousmaticas AUS, Walking Sound UK/PL. Since 2020, her monthly program "La Passante Ecoutante - Listening and Walking" can be heard on Colaboradio. At Superbooth, she has been interviewing and presenting for Pi Radio / Radio Woltersdorf for an entire broadcasting day since 2021.
