Northern Lighthouse
Northern Lighthouse is the alias of Italian electronic musician Davide Rambaldi, based in Brussels. He crafts evocative soundscapes blending ambient textures, lo-fi elements, and field recordings with distorted rhythms. Inspired by journeys and history, his work uses synthesizers to portray places and memories through sound.
His latest album, Argentiera, explores a former mining village in Sardinia, combining on-site recordings, modular synth recreations of industrial sounds, and voices of local inhabitants. Accompanied by a booklet of analogue photographs, it offers a journey through the village’s past and present.
He has performed in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Singapore, UK, and the USA, with upcoming shows in Japan. In 2022, he composed music for a theatre production in Rome celebrating Pier Paolo Pasolini’s centenary.
