Stromkult - In Conversation with WMD
For the first time this year, Stromkult, in collaboration with the SuperBooth and SchneidersLaden, is hosting a stage for conversations about electronic music and making electronic music in the cozy Bungalowdorf area of the SuperBooth. Rather than focusing on direct product demos, the idea behind this stage is to provide insight into the philosophies and working processes of the people behind the instruments – as well as the artists using them – through casual live conversation panels.
with William Mathewson
WMD is a manufacturer of music hardware, including modular synthesizers and guitar pedals. It makes tools that inspire creativity through powerful feature sets and well crafted user interfaces. William Mathewson founded WMD in 2007, starting with pedals. The Geiger Counter came out in 2008 and launched WMD onto the world's stage of gear makers, with a module version being released in 2009. WMD has since designed over 65 modules and provided engineering support for hundreds more.
