Diego Noguera + Oora
Surgeons Girl – Unable to Perform Due to Illness
Diego Noguera and Oora will perform as a duo.
At Superbooth 2026, Surgeons Girl joins Diego Noguera and Oora for a unique collaborative performance centered around the iconic Vermona Perfourmer.
Widely recognized for their deep and distinctive approaches to the instrument, the three artists bring their individual sonic identities into a shared framework built entirely on the Perfourmer’s four analog voices. The project reimagines the synthesizer not as a supporting tool, but as a complete and self-contained musical system.
Rooted in limitation as a creative principle, the performance explores texture, movement, and evolving harmonic structures through focused sound design and real-time interaction. Each artist’s relationship with the instrument shapes the collective result, revealing new dimensions of an already legendary synthesizer.
This special appearance highlights the expressive depth of a single instrument in the hands of dedicated artists, celebrating constraint as a catalyst for innovation.
Bristol-based artist Surgeons Girl emerged with the immersive, otherworldly synth explorations of A Violet Sleep, a dream-like debut released on Livity Sound. She followed this with The Empress Moss on Inside Out Records and Sever on Lapsus Records, carving out a distinctive sound rooted in exploratory, synth-rich techno. In 2026, Surgeons Girl returns to Livity Sound with A Moment To Machine, an EP that deepens and sharpens this vision.
Alongside a carefully curated discography, she has built a strong reputation for hardware-led live performance, appearing at venues including Berghain, Akademie der Künste, ICA, Southbank Centre (QEH), La Trabendo Paris, Doka Amsterdam, and Machina Bristronica. Her work also spans audiovisual commissions, including Into the Universe / IKLECTIK alongside Rrose, and an ongoing collaboration with filmmaker Daisy Dickinson.
As a DJ, she has shared line-ups with Upsammy, Konduku, Luke Slater, and Pariah. Surgeons Girl hosts a monthly residency on Rinse FM / SWU, spotlighting ambient through techno with a strong emphasis on live performance. She is also a member of the newly formed Death in Vegas live trio, touring throughout the year.
Diego Noguera is a Chilean-born, Berlin-based music composer, producer, and performer. Noguera´s work is a compelling blend of classical and experimental music, creating a "telluric force" that uses the rich textures of acoustic and electronic instruments, as well as vocals, to build towards a cathartic sonic experience.
With an extensive portfolio of pieces for theater, film, and dance, Diego has established himself as a prominent figure in the experimental music scene. His international collaborations have led to premieres in Chile, Singapore, the USA, and throughout Europe, working with acclaimed choreographers such as Sasha Waltz and José Vidal, as well as film director Lemohang Mosese and theater director Manuela Infante.
OORA is the musical project of Italian artist Federico Chiesa, who shapes analog synthesis, melodic minimalism, and emotional tension into a cinematic form of electronic music. His work transforms vulnerability, memory, and inner fragility into immersive, drumless soundscapes that evolve through harmony, restraint, and physical interaction with instruments.
Before focusing on electronic music, Federico was the frontman and guitarist of the stoner-rock band Mr. Bison, releasing several albums and performing across Italy and abroad. This experience shaped his approach to live performance, emphasizing presence, intensity, and narrative flow.
His live show is entirely hardware-based and unfolds like a single long composition – a slow, emotional journey with a cinematic atmosphere. Alongside his music, Federico is also active as a video creator and educator, sharing insights on synthesizers, creative workflows, and contemporary music-making.
