In the 70s and 80s, the Auratone 5C Super Sound Cubes become an insider's tip among professional sound creators and musicians. The list of famous Auratone devotees ranges from Quincy Jones and The Who to Frank Zap-pa and the Beach Boys. Within a few years, Auratones become the industry standard for nearfield monitors. After production ceased in 1990, Alexander Jacobsen took up his grandfather Jack Wilson's business idea in 2014 and started new production of the compact reference speakers.
