Empirical Labs Inc. develops and manufactures professional audio processing equipment that is used in studios all over the world. Founded in 1996 by Dave Derr and distributed by Wave Distribution, Empirical Labs created its first product—the EL8 Distressor—to bring analog "punch" into the digital realm. Thirty years and 45,000 Distressor units later, Empirical Labs now presents the latest (and limited production!) addition to its extensive product portfolio for audio professionals.
