Mikaël Charry, a musician and composer, embarked on his electronic music journey in 2001. He first explored electro as part of the KNOBZ collective, where he honed his skills on stage. This led him to establish Anakronic Electro Orkestra, a leading group in the electro-klezmer scene. Over the years, he has collaborated with renowned artists such as David Krakauer, Marc Ribot (Tom Wait’s guitarist), Bill Laswell, Pigeon John, Hend Elrawy (Orange Blossom), and Vincent Peirani, producing five albums and performing at over 500 concerts.

Mikaël's fascination with modular synths eventually led him to embark on a solo journey under the name MODGEIST. He explored the infinite possibilities of a tailor-made Eurorack modular system, and his live performances oscillate between techno progressive and electro downtempo, infused with mysticism and cryptic symbols. Since its inception in early 2016, MODGEIST has performed at over a hundred events, including opening for Jeff Mills at the Bikini in Toulouse, appearing at Château Perché, and performing internationally in Barcelona, London, Berlin, and South Korea.

He has also collaborated with several collectives and produced at emblematic places in Paris, including Cabaret Sauvage, Péripate, Kilowatt, and La Station - Gare des Mines, among others. He has even performed in unusual locations such as Parc Astérix, the Vincennes racecourse, and the Spanish desert during the Nowhere event (the biggest European event inspired by Burning Man).

In 2022, MODGEIST released its first mini-album, Entropy, a seven-track opus that garnered attention from France Inter's "Côté Club" program. Two months later, he unveiled an electrifying five-track EP, "Arcanes," which delved even deeper into the twists and turns of contemporary electronica.
